    What Happened?

Thank you everyone for your emails of support and for purchasing my art.  Each piece is created from a deep love and passion for colour, form and a desire to make you smile.

My Etz Hayyim (Tree of Life) series is especially close to my heart.  The symbolic “tree” has several meanings for me.

One of which is the roots digging deep into the earth.  The roots, for me, represents Ancestors, Tradition…our past.  It is , I believe, the past which gives us a good foundation.  The trunk represents the desire to reach heights unknown to our roots.  The branches represents our loved ones, whether our children, family or people we encounter.  How we reach out to them and show them “the way”.  The way…of peace, love, and a desire to be our best.

Well that is only one of many meanings for me. The Tree also represents Truth and Knowledge… wow, I could go on and on…but I will spare you.

When you check any of the paintings section for sale and you find a colour scheme that you like but it has already sold… just contact me.

    shalom, Tamu Ngina

    Beautiful, Beautiful, Simply Beautiful

well, i decided that it was absolutely imperative that i get out of the house today and enjoy the sunshine. the sunshine is good for the mind as well as the body. a lot of industral societies ills can be blamed on the fact that we spend entirely too much time indoors.

sunlight, fresh air, sunlight are important elements that help us to flourish.

the northeastern united states has enjoyed a wonderful moderate winter. today the temperature high was around 55 degrees F.

i finished three more Etz Hayyim paintings this morning. i hope to have them listed very soon.
all but one of the last three sold. i find that creating these paintings are highly meditative for me.

so passion and intent goes into every one.

Greetings and Welcome to my new home on the net!

I’m an artist, first and foremost, and there is nothing that I would rather being doing than painting….or watching something really really good on the Sci-Fi channel…or eating..

Ok, anyway, normally my website has been stale, inactive because it takes too much time to update and who wants to do it everyday. For those of you, my fans :-) , out there I wanted to be able to keep things fresh. To let you see my works in progress, my new auctions…my art life!

But I also need something that keeps me interested so I figured the best way to do that would be to have not just a website but an ArtBlog. That way you can leave feedback on my new stuff and my ego can smile…or strive to improve.

So, I hope that you enjoy this new journey with me. Let me know what you think. I know the over all layout isn’t so creative. I want to leave the creativity and experimentation to the canvas. The internet presence I wanted it to be streamlined and simple, here you have it.

SO sit back, hang tight and enjoy the journey.

And thank you so much to all of my supporters and clients for your many years of support and encouragement.

    continue being a blessing,

    Tamu Ngina aka LWA :-)
